A similar investigation and exposing has been made on several titles utilizing a similar microtransaction model. Most long-term players can’t deny the obvious drastic change in matchmaking when queueing with a newly purchased premium vehicle that was on a major holiday sale. For example, the Chrysler K GF where many reviewers got censored by Wargaming for exposing the truth about their corrupt system. In a nutshell Wargaming implemented a system that arrange matches to influence game-related purchases. The mediocre players may wish to emulate the premium players by obtaining premium vehicles or other items used by the premium players. In one implementation, the matchmaker may target particular players to make game-related purchases based on their interests. For example, the matchmaker may identify a mediocre player to match with a team of premium players based on a player profile of the mediocre player. In a particular example, the mediocre player may wish to become a good tank destroyer in the game. The matchmaker may match the mediocre player with a team that have highly skilled tank destroyers in the game.

The Tiger II has passable armor for a tier 8 heavy tank since almost the bulk of its armor is concentrated on the upper glacis and turret front. Other areas suffer from the armor being concentrated in two main locations as the other areas are relatively weak for a tier 8 heavy tank, especially on the sides and rear. Fortunately for the Tiger II it has decent gun depression allowing it to hide its lower glacis and making it difficult for many tier 8 and under tanks that it faces to penetrate it reliably.
To enhance Matchmaking for a better, fairer experience, we revised its core mechanics and implemented an all-new template-based algorithm. More information.
Because of my camo netting I wasn’t showing up on their radars. And this is what pissed me off, a Russian KV tank rolled up the hill and behind me, I knew I wasn’t visible to it so I waited until he went past and I cam out and started firing into his rear, every shot deflecting, he turned his turret round to look at me, but then turned it back and went to the crest of the hill and starting shooting at my team mates.
I sat there at point blank range and blasted 20 shells into his real armour while he totally ignored me until an enemy SPG took me out in a single hit from the other side of the map. I suppose that’s all you can do until I can afford to be in an imba tank myself or they fix their game. Getting behind an enemy tank, even if yours is comparatively small and fast is no small feat as you are usually spotted a long way off and this game heavily favours being immobile, in cover, camping.
At the moment the game doesn’t reward getting behind your opponents that very well, unless it is a tank destroyer, which correctly does have atrocious armour on the rear and it can’t turn to shoot you if you disable its tracks, even a light tank should pose threat to a heavy one if you can score rear hits. I am a history buff myself, but really we are already mixing Soviet, German and US tanks on the same teams so why not break immersion a little more and make the game fun?
Kipling just launched a nuclear holocaust at third world countries! The game is catered in a way that forces you to spend money in order to have any fun. I’ve played many F2P games in my time, and none have been this blatant about wanting your money as World of Tanks has. Before anyone says that I should start spending money on these games I am usually the one who ends up spending hundreds of dollars on F2P games

You’ll sure notice the issues. If you won’t then here is the main problem: Here’s the story from the previous topic Official MM feedback which was deleted: I have been in the MM queue for like 20 seconds. What I have seen: Players in tier
The difference in the number of artillery, light tanks and tank destroyers within each part of the list should be just one vehicle at the most. At the same time, the matchmaker doesn’t take into account a vehicle’s nation, configuration, equipment or consumables, nor its Crew training level and player stats, with the only exception for the number of battles.
Discuss Updated We spoke at length about the improved matchmaker in the Common Test announcement. How It Works The improved matchmaker builds two teams with several key criteria in mind. Its goal is to get you in a battle quick and make sure the two teams it assembles are: Comparable in their aggregate combat parameters Diverse in vehicle types and versatile enough to provide an engaging gaming experience Balanced in a way that gives both sides a chance at victory To do so the system analyzes vehicles in the queue and chooses one out of a set of templates; server-side algorithms with team makeups that define the tier spread and vehicle distribution at the top, middle and bottom of the list.
The variant you land depends on the queue composition, but whichever you get, there will be no battles where vehicles in the middle are outnumbered by those at the top. No fewer vehicles in the middle than at the top No fewer vehicles at the bottom than in the middle This way, the matchmaker ensures that regardless of your position on the list, there are always enough players in the same position on your team to have a real chance in battle.
In this case, you can get a two-level or single-level battle. However, if it sees that this will have you waiting for quite a while, it will match you into a battle with a suitable tier split. Creating a Battle Step 1. Defining the battle tier spread and game mode. First, the matchmaker defines the number of tankers and Platoons suitable for each battle tier and game mode.
It analyzes the modes each player flagged for a battle session, vehicles they chose for a battle, their tier and whether they follow regular or special matchmaking rules. Creating two evenly assembled teams. Having defined the battle tier spread and battle mode, the system tries to match players in teams based on team balance requirements and limitations:
Sorry, that content can’t be found.
Thus, when a player has been repeatedly put into too many difficult battles, the balancing is done in favor of easier battle sessions, thereby encouraging the player by providing an easier game environment. Similarly, when the player has been repeatedly put into too many easy battles, the balancing is done in favor of harder battle sessions, thereby keeping the player challenged instead of letting the player become bored with easy games.
Another possible algorithm is to increase the battle level by one within the permissible range for a vehicle each time a player wins a battle with that vehicle, and decrease the battle level by one within the permissible range each time a player loses a battle with that vehicle.
With potential clip damage and only 11 seconds required to unload it, pairing the sufficient penetration of , the tank could simply decimate any tier 7 or 8 tank, and shave off over half the health of tier 9 and some tier 10 tanks. This tank was pushed back to tier 8 with the patch 7. The autoloading 76 mm T91E5 gun it used to have? With 10 rounds, potential damage and 18 seconds to unload?
The most common strategy with the autoloader was to simply wait for flanking opportunities, engaging sole tanks or tanks you know you could defeat without taking much damage. The speed of the M41 allowed the tank to zoom around tanks while unloading the massive clip, and that was the most common playstyle players used.
The gun, being single-shot, had better gun handling characteristics, but the ability to clip tier 7 and 8 tanks with the autoloader made the autoloader simply a better choice for the tank. Unfortunately, after the 9. While the tank statistics and mobility were sort of buffed, the autoloader was significantly nerfed. As the tank got uptiered, it gained more HP, a huge mobility increase traverse and massive specific power increase at the cost of 4.

Chris, I understand you are a military man, you have fought in Iraq, and then went on to work on various war games. What exactly is your position at Wargaming. I serve in a variety of roles — which is unusual for me because I am normally a writer or designer on a development team. I had the privilege of working with Wargaming. I am also involved with some of the communities that relate well with World of Tanks, including veterans, historians, tank modelers, and reenactors, and use my contacts there to evangelize the game in those areas.
The specific subject I would like to talk about with you is matchmaking in World of Tanks.
Gaining experience and credits is one of your primary goals in World of Tanks. Experience is used to research new modules and tanks and to progress your crew, while credits can be used to pay for new modules and tanks, equipment, consumables and ammunition, crew training/retraining as well as temporary camouflage patterns.
Updated What is the Sandbox? Your participation will help us gather feedback on possible changes, and you’ll have more opportunities to influence development moving forward! While we can’t reveal all the details yet, we can say one of the things you’ll test is some new ways we’re thinking about artillery! How do I get access to Sandbox?
Fill out and submit an application via the button below: Not everyone will receive access to the Sandbox. The criteria for choosing participants will depend on the specific purpose of each stage of testing, but the bottom line is: How do I know my application is approved? If you get access, you’ll receive an email to the address linked to your game account and an in-game notification. Our main goal is to get the most quality reviews possible from enthusiastic tankers.
Sometimes we’re interested in a very specific type of player depending on what we’re testing. For example, if we want to test changes on a heavy tank, we’ll select players that have experience playing heavy tanks. Don’t worry — your application is stored in the system and you won’t need to reapply. How often are applications processed?

World Of Tanks Fix Matchmaking Posted on June 6, Leave a comment Each faction has two unique playable races which have their own innate skills, strengths and weaknesses.. Why is the updater all in russian? World of Tanks is a free online game run by WarGaming.. Bleach Online is a MMORPG set in the popular world of the Bleach manga and anime, fans of the series should enjoy this game for some time but it lacks the qualities that would encourage players to return.
Bro cant connect to the servers its sending me to the main menu.. Combat in Forge of Empires is unique in the MMORTS genre, players battle in a turnbased grid system where the player is able to directly change the course of battle and decide how to attack the enemy.
When creating a battle, the matchmaker first looks to place eligible large Platoons ( players), followed by artillery and then light tanks with scout matchmaking. After this criterion is met, other players are selected to fill the remaining positions, keeping the team’s weight balanced as closely as possible.
The index at the bottom of each picture describes a few abbreviations used and also the format in which the armor details are described in. Effective Armor EA refers to the overall effectiveness of the armor without normalization. The armor values are presented in three different scenarios for the angled view of the tank.
The strongest point is the lower frontal glacis which is very small and only visible against very short tanks and therefore not even worth shooting. UFG 2 This portion of the upper frontal glacis is also 76mm thick but has no angle on it at all making it extremely vulnerable. You only need to be careful about hitting the lower hull areas. LSH 1 This lower section of the side hull is spaced armor and is quite tough compared to the rest of the tank.
There is 64mm of spaced armor in this area with 40mm of tracks behind it before reaching the 51mm hull armor. LSH 2 The rest of the lower side hull that is not covered by spaced armor is 51mm of armor covered by 40mm of tracks. This still puts the armor value at 91mm EA making it tougher to damage than the upper side hull.
Matchmaking mechanism explained
No more than 3 SPGs per team If you joined us in the Sandbox, you already know the limit of no more than 3 arty per side balances combat interplay between SPGs and other vehicles. Both stats and feedback show that it injects combat with extra fun and variety, and decreases camping, encouraging more active gameplay. Fewer map dupes The improved matchmaker reduces the number of map dupes with a new logic.
It analyzes maps that tankers from the two newly created teams played over the last 10 battles. Then, it places them on a map none of them have seen in the last few sessions.
Goal: Improve the experience for preferential tanks while keeping the preferential matchmaking parameter and their unique characteristics intact. Solution: All-around vehicle rebalances on a tank-by-tank basis combined with matchmaker rule revision.

Slated to hit production servers in March, it reimagines the game with a new graphics engine and over 25 ultra-realistic maps. This impressive revamp has been over four years in the making. We wanted to give the game a modern look, while also ensuring you can enjoy it on your rig. Much like we all do in a battle, we needed to plan a few steps ahead.
Jan 06, · new matchmaking is the worst part of update – posted in General Discussion: The worst part of the many bad parts of is the matchmaking. With only three top tier tanks in every match, the game is in the bag for the team with the most invincible top .
September 11, at 7: Tier4 Lights need to have Battle Tier range, same as normal T5 tanks. And need to be rebalanced for it. T needs complete rebalance for BT it has. Should not have MM changed like A but instead buffed. T2 Light Tank needs normal tier2 MM. It is completely useless even in tier3 match, more so in t4. And scouting a lot wasnt useful before and is much less now. Alternatively, it can keep current MM but with huge increase in view range. Not a fan of current tier4 heavy tank MM.
